In one particular episode of Tested, Adam shows off some custom gear for his quad, including a hand-made flight log based on Field Notes notebooks. I’m thinking of buying some of these just for the “oh shiny” factor. Would anyone else like to ride my order? Looking to place the actual order in January if I’m still keen on flying

PRE-FLIGHT CHECKLIST
For Safe Operation of UAVs
- Transmitter firmware up to date
- UAV firmware up to date
- Inspect UAV for obvious defects
- Batteries fully charged
- Propellers tightened and/or locked
- ND Filter needed? Yes/No
- SD card in camera, SD card formatted if needed
- Monitor brightness set to high & hood installed
- Transmitter antenna up
- Transmitter turned on
- UAV turned on
- Compass calibrated
- UAV placed in safe launch and recover position
- Area clear of people
FLIGHT
- Warn bystanders of imminent takeoff
- Hover close for 20 seconds. Look/listen for defects
- Confirm expected stick operation
- Monitor battery power
- Keep line of sight with UAV if possible
- Monitor signal strength
