Does anyone have surplus 2GB 666Mhz SDRAM (SODIMM)? The iMacs upstairs could do with a bit more RAM, upgrading from 2 x 1GB to 2 x 2GB GB.
I will look for suppliers, but I figure it can’t hurt to ask for surplus modules

Actually, yes! I have these laying around that were pulled out of an old
iMac. They appear to be 666Mhz and 1GB each. Or did you need 2GB per DIMM?

2GB per SODIMM, the iMacs already have 2 x 1GB of RAM. Thanks for the quick reply
One day we’ll look at those 1GB sticks and wonder, “How did anyone get by with less than 1TB of RAM?” If we even have a concept of “amount” or “RAM” …
I was thinking of installing ubuntu on one of these machines
