I’ve been doing a bit of work in Pure Data (a message-based / graph-based programming language) for a few art projects. Mostly I’ve been using it to control LEDs when music is playing and managing state machines, but it’s often used for generating music. Some of my composer friends have been talking about doing a meetup. This is something I’d like to see happening regularly at MHV. Is anyone else here interested in learning about Pure Data (or max/msp, suppercollider), has some knowledge they want to share or are just interested in seeing what people are doing with it?
I’m looking to start something regular in November, so if it sounds like you might like to come along, drop a few encouraging words below and I’ll keep you up to date.
The short answer is I don’t really know. We don’t have anything in the way
of a PA, we’ve just been using some computer speakers when Jamie has
brought his rack in. We can probably get away with cross patching the final
outputs into someone’s mixer module if we have a few euroracks but that’s
pretty limited.
Cool, one of my all of my racks have mixer a 4 input mixers so that may be useful. I will bring in a 9u 104hp loaded rack of goodies. also Beatstep pro and Keystep
This is one of my rack (my portable setup) but I need to find space for an ornament & crime module that I should have finished this week. also the blank panel is converted to power outputs to power pedals and the keyboards https://cdn.modulargrid.net/img/racks/modulargrid_312204.jpg
Will finish building my 2x104HP rack on Modular Grid when I get home I’ll have it, a Beatstep Pro, and my laptop with me on Saturday. Really looking forward to it
