Feb 11, 2016 07:00PM: A revolutionary new 3D printer - invitation to join the open source manufacturing team building it

event created by: Paul Harvey

One of our newest members, Michael Slavica will be chatting about how to get involved in a new 3D printer R&D team. More information can be found at Thursday February 11, 7:00PM: Invitation to join an open source manufacturing team that is building a revolutionary new 3D printer

Here’s an excerpt: “I am putting together a team that will make a 3D printer that is making real products that can be used today. We will be using polymers (that are available right now) that are better than a lot of metals that can be used in 3D printing. We will develop the ability to use PEEK and ULTEM in our 3D printers. PEEK has a melting point of 343°C and a operating temperature of 250°C”
