Bargains Wanted! (MHV Tools Wishlist)

A very generous donation of $4,000 from the ACT Chief minister has been received, to go towards a 3D Printer, Projector, Table Saw, and Lathe or Mill. We’ve just received a 3D Printer from LulzBot, so that frees up these funds for the other items in that list. What else do we need? Should we try to stretch the funds if there are good quality bargains to be had? What else do we need? Please help build a wishlist and alert us to any bargains going!

  • Table Saw
  • Projector
  • Lathe or Mill
  • 3D Printer filament
  • Miscellaneous hand tools (we seem to be getting low again? Screwdrivers, side cutters, crimpers, etc)

Not as cheap as the ‘bunnings specials’ though.

We should keep a look out for second hand/free whiteboards/corkboards too. Because due to asbestos issues our current ones won’t be coming with us :frowning:

Once we’re in the new space and can inventory more easily, I plan to investigate which tools have gone missing and write up a replacement list.
