I just had a phone call from Jack, who closed up MHV an hour ago.
He had a few issues closing the main door upstairs (It can jam if you don’t know the “correct” way of closing it) and he took long enough to close it that the (exit-delayed) alarm went off.
He was not sure what is the appropriate action to be taken when the alarm accidentally goes off - There should be a set of instructions by the door (with a phone number for the security company).
(He managed to cancel the alarm but was not able to wait for the security people to come around)
The security is provided by ACTPG, so once the alarm is cancelled (by reentering your pin and turning it off) you need to call the ACTPG emergency number that is on the main Ginninderra House sign at the gate. If the alarm is turned off quickly I don’t think they attend, but calling them would still be a good idea.
I noticed that it is beeping again because their are some messages on the screen. We got some instructions for stopping this last time and I’ve sent them through to Jamie to try tomorrow night. If they work he can document them (they are a bit vague).
