July 6, 2016 6:15PM: Arduino workshop planning

Here is a link to a wemos that should be suitableWeMos D1 R2 WiFi ESP8266 Development Board Compatible Arduino UNO Program By Arduino IDE
https://banggood.app.link/C5S9kGJ5Kv

And now to look for the sensor set

I have a WeMos D1 R2 that I did not yet try, we can play with it next meeting.

sounds like a fine idea !

I was pointed at this intro workshop which can be very cheap (h’ware-wise), using the WeMos D1 mini (clone).

It uses lua (not Arduino IDE) and gets to play with wireless later on.

As per the discussion at the committee meeting on 8th july i think we should push forward on this topic, and focus for an november date ?

Hi Guys here is a couple of links for Arduino kits that may fill the niche for the course

Aurduino course.pdf (14.9 KB)

the links are for Aliexpress

there is also a wemos di mini set at Banggod

This kit is on sale from Jaycar this month for $39.

I don’t know if it is of any use to the workshop but thought I would pass the info on.
